Explore Rob’s powerful keynotes on adaptability, resilience, leadership, and workplace wellbeing.

The Frontline Formula is the framework I built from years of frontline policing and, if I'm being honest, from the years of personal cost that came with getting it wrong. It's an approach to sustainable high performance, to helping individuals, teams, and organisations not just survive the pressure they're under, but adapt to it, grow through it, and come out performing better than they went in.

The name comes from where it was forged. Frontline policing is about as demanding a human environment as exists. The decisions are fast, the stakes are high, the information is incomplete, and the margin for error is genuinely small. In that environment, you learn quickly what actually works under pressure, and what merely sounds good in a training room. Everything in the Frontline Formula was tested in conditions like that. It didn't come from research papers or coaching programmes. It came from necessity.

WHAT THE FORMULA LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE

The Frontline Formula isn't a theoretical model, it's a set of specific, practical tools that participants can reach for when the pressure is on. When a restructure is announced and the team doesn't know what's coming next. When a leader is being asked to make decisions without all the information. When someone is carrying something they haven't been able to say out loud. The tools in the Frontline Formula are designed for those moments. They're drawn from what actually works in environments where the cost of getting it wrong is immediate and real.

In a keynote session, the formula typically manifests as: a clear framework for understanding why people respond to pressure and uncertainty the way they do; specific, named tools for adapting faster and recovering better; and an honest conversation, usually using my own story as the starting point, that creates the kind of psychological safety in the room that makes the tools feel accessible rather than aspirational. In workshop formats, participants apply the tools to their specific situation, which deepens the learning and personalises it.

WHO THE FRONTLINE FORMULA IS FOR

The Frontline Formula is designed for any organisation where people are expected to perform at a high level under sustained pressure, which is most organisations today. Rob has delivered it to Fortune 500 leadership teams, NHS trusts, fast-growth tech companies, established financial institutions, police forces, and creative agencies. While the language and examples shift to suit the audience, the underlying framework remains consistent.

Those who benefit most are often leaders who have watched their best people burn out, HR directors whose wellbeing initiatives aren’t shifting the numbers, or managers performing well but quietly unsure how long they can sustain it. The Frontline Formula gives them language to describe what they’re experiencing and a framework to take action, exactly what Rob designed it to do.
